INX Makes US / Canada Phone Service a Local Call in India

March 1, 2005

Lx_logo-clrSmall Indian exporters and outsourcing companies have increased their visibility in the US and Canadian markets.  This has led to an increased need for affordable, and reliable telecommunications solutions for these companies, in order to maximize services and profits.  Enter Logical Exchange, LLC, which has  has launched its International Number Exchange (INX) Internet phone service, featuring fixed monthly charges for unlimited Internet calling with voice mail, caller ID, follow-me, and online account management.

The company reports that service sign-ups have been particularly brisk throughout India, where it is investing significant resources to develop that market.  The service comes with free downloadable software that allows a PC to be used with a headset and microphone as an international telephone.

The prevalence of outsourcing to India has resulted in Indian businesses wanting to function more closely with their customers, resulting in some having multiple INX lines to keep up with increased opportunities, services, and demands.

By lowering international calling prices, INX intends to become a global telephone service provider.  Customers in India with an Internet connection – broadband, wireless or dial-up – can have an affordable US or Canadian phone number.

Subscribers sign up with any international credit card with a 14-day money-back guarantee.  Plans start at $7.95 a month for unlimited local calling and 2.1 cents/minute to the US and Canada.  Unlimited service costs $19.95/month.

Logical Exchange, LLC is an enhanced IP communications service provider, offering global communications with IP-based services.  The company also has reseller and affiliate programs.

VoIP, Inc. to Promote as 1-800-TALKTIME

February 24, 2005

voipincAggressive player aspires to dominate VoIP mindshare with vanity toll-free numbers and matching domain names.

VoIP, Inc (OTCBB:VOII) announced today that it has acquired the three vanity telephone numbers, 1-800-TALKTIME, 1-888-TALKTIME and 1-877-TALKTIME, along with the domain names 800TALKTIME.COM, 1800TALKTIME.COM and 1-800-TALKTIME.COM, and a US trademark for 1-800-TALKTIME.

The company views the acquisition and promotion of these brands as giving it a substantial marketing edge with consumers in the retail VoIP, subscriber-based telephony market throughout the US and Canada, and eventually beyond, which are its targets.

It believes 1-800-TALKTIME can become synonymous with VOIP services, against competition from the likes of VonageAT&T’s CallVantage, Deltathree’s iConnectHere,Packet8, and Primus Telecom.

Received marketing wisdom is that memorable phone numbers can generate up to twice the TV and ten times the radio direct response sales compared to generic phone numbers. The industry will watch to see how that plays out here.
