deltathree Launches New VoIP and Calling Features

New features include Web call, inbound calling, voice mail, call forwarding, SMS callback, and a choice of US, European or Israeli telephone numbers.

deltathree, Inc (NASDAQ:DDDC) today announced the launch of new features and services for its VoIP Reseller Program, expanded the range of devices certified as interoperable with its service, and incorporated the recently announced new pricing plans and an enhanced look and feel for its VoIP service.

Among the new features is an expanded choice of inbound local phone numbers available to end users irrespective of location. Customers can choose to receive calls via these phone numbers as local calls in the US, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel and the UK.

deltathree’s reseller platform enables end users to manage and control a variety of VoIP services and account activities, and gives resellers a wide range of back-office tools to analyze, control and manage their customer base.

The new customizable Web-based and SMS-based callback features allow users to decide if the call should occur immediately or at a later time, new to deltathree’s IP voice service.

Through the Reseller Program, calling centers/shops, Internet Cafes, local hardware and software distributors, local ISPs, calling card and callback companies, telecom consultants, Web portal and entrepreneurs can all participate in the business of VoIP.

Epygi Quadro IP PBX 2.4 Lets Users Mix IP and Analog Phones

Epygi’s new IP PBX 2.4 softrware allows analog users easy migration to a VoIP PBX by allowing both to work on the same network.

Epygi Technologies, Ltd announced the 2.4 upgrade of its Quadro All-In-One-Box IP PBX, gateway and stand alone voice router, which combines analog lines and phones with IP phones and VoIP carriers in one product with no moving parts.

Existing analog phones gain IP capabilities and IP phones work seamlessly with Quadro IP PBXs, allowing small businesses, SOHOs and teleworkers to to grow using IP phones while still being able to derive value from their analog equipment. Supported IP phones include Cisco, Polycom, Snom, IP Dialog, Swissvoice and Aastra.

Quadro 2.4 features include a streamlined GUI, least cost routing, SIP server support, H.323 signaling, G.723 and iLBC CODECs and RADIUS billing (for service operators). The all-solid-state solution makes the product highly robust and cost effective, according to the company.

Epygi is building a world-wide network of distributors and resellers. V3 provides VoIP and Data Networking to Cable and ADSL Modem Users

Zoom Technologies, Inc’s (NASDAQ: ZOOM) new V3 connects to the Ethernet port of a cable modem or ADSL modem, and includes a router, firewall with stateful packet inspection, 4-port switching hub, and TelePort VoIP port, which lets users make conventional telephone calls or VoIP calls from the same phone.

This provides a second phone line while allowing conventional phone service for 911 emergency dialing, toll-free number dialing, or in the event of a power failure, thus addressing the difficulty many consumers have with parting from their traditional, reliable and familiar telephone service.

The Zoom V3 allows users to use their own VoIP phone service, or can come bundled with Zoom’s Global Village phone service, which allows free VoIP calls over the Internet, and low cost calls to any phone on the conventional telephone network with both pay-per-call and unlimited-in-the-US calling plans.

Other features of the Zoom V3 include:

• Integrated Firewall with Stateful Packet Inspection and NAT (Network Address Translation)

• Integration of the voice processing with the firewall in the router, to ensure reliability of VoIP calls and reduce service provider support requirements

• SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) support, for VoIP calling and other communications over the Internet

• A browser-based graphic user interface

• Compatibility with any operating system that supports an Internet browser and Javascript, including Windows, Macintosh and Linux

• A 4-port Ethernet switching hub and a USB port, allowing up to five computers to plug directly into the V3

• Flash memory for easy firmware updates

EMEA distribution agreement takes VoIP into new markets

Intec signs mediation deal with UK’s Your Communications

Contract for unified convergent mediation platform valued at nearly $1 million.
