TeleSym, Inc announced today a production and distribution partnership with Active Voice, LLC, to deliver a turnkey, mobile enterprise VoIP solution.
Active Voice will manufacture assemble and ship SymPhone Call Registry and SymPhone Call Connector servers to TeleSym customers worldwide.
Incorporating both call quality and RSA security technology, SymPhone extends an enterprise or service provider PBX to mobile users. It works with digital and analog PBXs, wireless LANs, and SIP.
A significant player in the telecom reseller channel, Active Voice’s expertise in configurable solutions for both resellers and enterprises will help TeleSym deliver its enterprise VoIP solution, according to the companies.
Active Voice is a subsidiary of NEC Unified Solutions, Inc, and makes unified messaging, computer telephony and voice messaging solutions. Based in Seattle, it has offices in the US, Australia, and the Netherlands. Over 150,000 Active Voice systems have been installed in more than 60 countries.
TeleSym’s SymPhone enterprise mobile VoIP solution will be made and distributed by Active Voice.

Starting in January, Ecuity will roll out nationwide its V-Tone Home residential VoIP service, which will run on PCs and Pocket PCs over wireline broadband and WiFi.
Ecuity, Inc (OTC BB: ECUI.OB) announced that its partnership with TeleSym, Inc will result in the nationwide rollout of its V-Tone Home and Smart Call service for residential broadband users, starting January 3, 2005.
Customers will be able to keep their current phone numbers, or choose a number within specific area codes, and make and receive calls from PC or Pocket PC-compatible devices such as laptops and PDA’s with a broadband or wireless (Smart Call) connection.

The combination of the Ecuity and SymPhone systems makes telephoning possible over private WiFi, public HotSpot or Broadband networks, and supports all current key telephony standards such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol).
