INX Makes US / Canada Phone Service a Local Call in India

VoIP, Inc. to Promote as 1-800-TALKTIME

VoIP, Inc (OTCBB:VOII) announced today that it has acquired the three vanity telephone numbers, 1-800-TALKTIME, 1-888-TALKTIME and 1-877-TALKTIME, along with the domain names 800TALKTIME.COM, 1800TALKTIME.COM and 1-800-TALKTIME.COM, and a US trademark for 1-800-TALKTIME.

The company views the acquisition and promotion of these brands as giving it a substantial marketing edge with consumers in the retail VoIP, subscriber-based telephony market throughout the US and Canada, and eventually beyond, which are its targets.

It believes 1-800-TALKTIME can become synonymous with VOIP services, against competition from the likes of VonageAT&T’s CallVantage, Deltathree’s iConnectHere,Packet8, and Primus Telecom.

Received marketing wisdom is that memorable phone numbers can generate up to twice the TV and ten times the radio direct response sales compared to generic phone numbers. The industry will watch to see how that plays out here.

IP Unity and Atreus Systems Partner to Automate VoIP Provisioning

ipunityIP Unity and Atreus have completed a joint marketing agreement to automate the provisioning of advanced IP features tier one carriers.

IP Unity and Atreus Systems’ partnership agreement will help carriers increase revenue per customer by extending their existing systems to support VoIP and other advanced IP applications, the companies said. The combined solution allows providers to bundle everything from VoIP and messaging to access and desktop applications.

By using Atreus to automate the provisioning of IP Unity’s media/applications server system, service providers can quickly deploy advanced communications features on demand, further enhancing IP Unity’s ‘many services, one system’ value proposition.

The company is successfully deploying volume shipments at ILECs, MSOs and hybrid carriers. One of these is TELUS, the largest telecommunications company in Western Canada and second largest in Canada overall, which has deployed IP Unity’s unified messaging features and will soon implement the joint solution of IP Unity features with Atreus’ service fulfillment solution in its production network.

Epygi Quadro IP PBX 2.4 Lets Users Mix IP and Analog Phones

Epygi’s new IP PBX 2.4 softrware allows analog users easy migration to a VoIP PBX by allowing both to work on the same network.

Epygi Technologies, Ltd announced the 2.4 upgrade of its Quadro All-In-One-Box IP PBX, gateway and stand alone voice router, which combines analog lines and phones with IP phones and VoIP carriers in one product with no moving parts.
