Syndeo Selects Solid IT for NextGen Linux Softswitch

syndeoSyndeo selected the Solid IT data management platform as the basis for the next generation of its its Syion softswitch.

Syndeo Corporation‘s Syion Linux CMS (Call Management Server) is a carrier-class, PacketCable-qualified application running on a Modular Communications Platform. The hardware is based on Intel-based telecom solutions and servers. The platform runs Carrier-Grade Linux and features Syndeo Syion High-Availability Middleware.

Within the platform, Solid Information Technology’s embedded data management software provides a standards-based, commercial off-the-shelf database and development framework. It supplies zero administration, carrier-grade embedded data management to help ensure 99.999% availability, as well as seamless and transparent data replication between the controller, the applications and the management system.

Solid has a reputation for its relational database management platforms designed for developing highly available applications.

Syndeo Corporation was formed in 1999 to offer VoIP services to cable operators so they could drive additional value over their converged networks.
