Innovative VoIP Solution Enhanced to Support Additional Deployment Scenarios.
Waltham, MA (March 25, 2004) – TeleGea, a leading provider of software solutions for rapid IP service delivery, today announced its presence at next week’s Voice on the Net (VON) Conference & Expo in Santa Clara. Spring 2004 VON is being held March 28-April 1, 2004 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. TeleGea’s upgraded VoIP Delivery Management Solution will be showcased in a demonstration of automated service delivery. In addition, TeleGea executive Kevin Farrell will speak to the challenges of delivering hosted services like IP Centrex, and the innovative solution approaches now making VoIP a reality for market-leading service providers and enterprises.
TeleGea’s VoIP Delivery Management Solution uniquely combines automation, integration and visualization capabilities that solve the business and operational challenges of delivering hosted VoIP services. Building on recent customer wins, TeleGea continues to expand its customer base by enabling service providers to open new wholesale and retail channels and efficiently deliver innovative hosted services like IP Centrex and residential voice. The latest release (3.1) of the VoIP Delivery Management Solution, powered by TeleGea’s Accelerator PlatformTM (AP), expands support for deployments leveraging open source infrastructure, as well as offering additional capabilities for the consolidated management and control of multiple resellers and partner channels. “Our 3.1 release was driven by our customers’ requirements to leverage open source technologies to lower their total cost of ownership,” said Kevin Farrell, Vice President of Product Management. “With this release, we can now offer service providers a flexible solution that can grow with their business and effectively support evolution of both their service offerings and technology architectures.”
Service providers seeking cost and performance benefits can now leverage alternatives such as Linux, JBossTM and MySQL®, in addition to traditional commercial products from vendors such as Oracle, BEA and Sun. Additionally, TeleGea’s VoIP solution adds pre-packaged support for residential voice services, rounding out coverage for the full range of hosted residential and business services currently being offered. The VoIP Delivery Management Solution, powered by AP 3.1, has been in trials with beta customers since early February, and is now Generally Available.
Beginning Monday, March 29, 2004, TeleGea will present its showcase demonstration, automating hosted VoIP service delivery over an active network on the show floor. During exhibit hours, visitors to booth 705/707 can view the live demonstration in action. In addition, Kevin Farrell is the featured speaker in a session focused on the potential for VoIP services in the enterprise and strategies for eliminating the challenges in creating and delivering such services.
